Winter Market Fest #2
December is my favorite month of the year. As they say, December is the month of bright lights, snow and feast. I wouldn’t argue with that. From where I am from- Philippines- December is the most festive month. It is the Christmas-- season for loving and tying loose ends. It is the time when Filipino families get together. I am so gonna miss it.
Luckily, December in Bangkok is quite eventful. I haven’t had any boring weekend yet. This city never seems to run out of fun events and happenings. Last Saturday -- 12-13-14 (coincidental consecutive number, yeah?), I and my good friend, Toon went to check the Winter Market Fest #2 by Sansiri. It was held in San Samran Bridge, Sukhumvit Soi 77. It was just a walking distance from Onnut BTS Station. It started at 3 pm and we got there at around 4:30 pm, just in time for the Balloon Parade. There was a Santa Claus, clowns and pretty ladies handing out free balloons. All the kids wanted one and I even got one... Well, I am a kid—ahem… a kid at heart.LOL
It was a two-day event which is kind of good for a weekend only. There were five zones—Trend, Craft, Food, Santa, Family Play yard and Slow Living. I especially enjoyed the Food and Craft sections. I loved how each stall was decorated prettily. There were so many cute and dainty stuff all displayed perky ways. It was really a fun way of spending one’s weekend.
